Debate Club - Autumn 2025

Service Description

Equip your child with the ability to communicate opinions and ideas effectively through a good old-fashioned debate club. This club will run once a month, with assigned argument topics being sent out one week in advance, to allow students to prepare their opening and closing statements. Students will get the opportunity to participate in a formal debate once each month, and they will observe and critique other students who are also debating. They will receive short tutorials with pointers about the art of debating at the end of each month's meeting. There are two sessions of this club that will be running, both of which will run on the third Tuesday of each month: a daytime session from 10:30-11:45 am (Atlantic Standard Time), and an evening session from 9 pm to 10:15 pm (Atlantic Standard Time). It begins on September 16th and runs through to December 16th, 2025. Very limited space available.
